Harm Reduction Instructions
Simple, consistent steps for reading QuikDetect™ harm reduction tests — in the field, at events, or at home.
Before You Start
Everything except the timer comes in the QuikDetect™ kit.
QuikDetect™ Strip
Sealed, in date, single use.
Water Tube
Included in the kit, with a 5 mL fill line.
Micro Scoop
Included — one level scoop per test.
Timer
A phone or watch to time the read.
How to Test in 4 Steps
Follow the pouch instructions for your QuikDetect™ test.
Mix the Sample
Add 1 level micro scoop of crushed substance to the water tube. Fill with water to the 5 mL line, cap it and shake until fully dissolved.
Dip the Strip
Dip the strip into the tube for 10–15 seconds — never past the MAX line — then remove it.
Lay Flat & Wait
Place the strip on a flat surface and read the result after 5 minutes.
Check the Lines
Compare the lines with the result guide below.
Reading Your Result
Read 5 minutes after dipping.
Positive — Detected
Only the control (C) line shows. The target substance may be present.
Negative — Not Detected
Both lines show — even a faint second line counts as negative. This does not guarantee safety.
Invalid — Retest
No control line appears. Use a new strip and a fresh sample.
